Parity is a network protocol that aims to be integrated onto the web browser, making it the fastest, lightest and most secure Ethereum client. The Parity software client forms the bedrock for the company’s continued innovation in concert with the Ethereum community. Ethcore’s software technology roadmap includes light-client technology for secure IoT applications, permissioned chains, scalability and confidentiality features as well as application level libraries for use by developers and third-party projects.

Dr. Gavin will be speaking on applications to reality, technical specifications and implementation of Parity and why he is building this vision for the future of Ethereum’s usability.

Speaker

Dr. Gavin Wood, the former founder and CTO of Ethereum Foundation and current Founder of Ethcore (www.ethcore.io), coded the first implementation of Ethereum. He invented the Solidity contract language and wrote the yellow paper, Ethereum: A secure decentralized generalised transaction ledger (http://gavwood.com/paper.pdf). Ethcore is the creator of the alternative client protocol of Ethereum, Parity, by using the new, sophisticated language, Rust.
