Securing the Future:

Building a Financially Literate Society

Synopsis

To further the dialogue on the importance of increasing the level of financial literacy for young adults, Singapore Management University and Citi Singapore are co-hosting a symposium titled “Securing the Future: Building a Financially Literate Society”. Life expectancy has increased over the years and coupled with the rising costs of living, longevity poses opportunities and risks. Today’s youth will need to manage their finances responsibly and wisely in order to achieve financial security and a high standard of living in their golden years.

In this symposium, practitioners and academia will get together to discuss the efficacy of financial education programmes. With perspectives from the public, private and civil society sectors,  distinguished speakers and panelists will share their insights, experiences and potential next steps to deliver more innovative and effective financial education initiatives.

We invite you to join us for an enriching dialogue on how Singapore can be a more future-ready society – starting with financially literate young adults as tomorrow’s leaders.
