The University Student Life Awards honours CCA clubs and individuals for their excellence, proficiencies and contributions to student life in SMU. For the first time in the club’s history, the Citi Foundation-SMU Financial Literacy Club clinched its first ever SMU Excellence in Student Life Gold Award (School/Office/Centre/Institute Club Category)! Congratulations to the 7th executive committee, student trainers and all members for contributing to the success of the club! The award recognises the club’s demonstrated participation and accomplishment in co-curricular activities.

More importantly, it has affirmed the club’s efforts in striving for impact, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions in 2020. The club converted almost all of their programs, events and workshops into creative digital/hybrid formats. Displaying utmost resilience, the student committee worked hard to ideate programs that met the changing needs of young adults during the COVID-19 period. Some of the specially curated programs include the COVID-19 Rescue Pack Webinars, the club’s first-ever virtual Financial Literacy Symposium and online FinLit Challenge for Polys, ITEs and university students.

We look forward to another year of brilliance!

Individual student awards conferred:
The club’s 7th President, Reshma Dogiparthy, won the SMU Excellence in Student Life Silver Award (Student Leadership Category).
The club’s 7th Vice President (Curriculum), Toh Zheng Hao, and Student Trainer, Elijah Tan, won the SMU Excellence in Student Life Bronze Award (School/Office/Centre/Institute Club Category).

Heartiest congratulations to all students!
