In an article entitled: "The Young and the Cashless" published by The Sunday Times, Assistant Professor of Finance Aurobindo Ghosh, Program Director of the Citi Foundation-SMU Financial Literacy Program for Young Adults commented on the rise of contactless payment methods.
Assistant Professor of Finance Aurobindo Ghosh, Program Director of the Citi Foundation-SMU Financial Literacy Program for Young Adults noted that on the rise of contactless payment methods, it can be used to manage one's finances because of electronic tracking. However, this highlights that perhaps it is not so much the payment method, but discipline and financial literacy that play a role in financial prudence.
